Why we built Tivrn
Small digital jobs shouldn’t need a software subscription, an account or a pile of ads. Combining two PDFs, shrinking a photo for an upload form, counting the words in an essay or formatting a block of JSON should take seconds. Tivrn brings 50 of these tools together under one clean, consistent design so you can find the right one quickly and get on with your day.
How the tools work
Every tool runs in your web browser. When you choose a file, your browser reads it and creates the result on your own device. Files are not uploaded to our server for processing. Calculators, text tools and generators work the same way: your input stays in the page and disappears when you close it.
Some tools rely on well-known open-source libraries, which your browser downloads from public content delivery networks (jsDelivr, with unpkg as a backup) the first time you use those tools:
- pdf-lib for creating and editing PDFs, and a maintained fork of it for AES-256 PDF encryption.
- PDF.js by Mozilla for rendering PDF pages.
- JSZip for creating ZIP downloads.
- qrcode-generator for QR codes.
Image tools use the Canvas API built into every modern browser, and random values for passwords and UUIDs come from the browser’s cryptographically secure generator.
Our principles
- Honest results. If a PDF can’t be compressed further, we say so instead of handing you a bigger file. Calculators show their formulas.
- No fake promises. SEO tools give suggestions, not guaranteed rankings. The passport photo tool resizes photos but doesn’t claim official compliance.
- No accounts, no API keys. Everything is free to use without signing up.
- Accessible and mobile-friendly. Pages work with keyboards and screen readers, on phones and desktops, in light and dark mode.
