What is lorem ipsum?
Lorem ipsum is scrambled, Latin-like filler text that designers have used for centuries to show how a layout will look before the real copy is ready. Because it looks like natural language but can’t be read, people focus on fonts, spacing and structure instead of the words. It comes from a passage of Cicero’s philosophical work “On the Ends of Good and Evil”, written in 45 BC.
This generator builds natural-looking sentences of varying length from a list of classic lorem ipsum words, with occasional commas, so paragraphs have a realistic rhythm. Paragraph mode creates four to seven sentences per paragraph. HTML mode is handy when you paste straight into a code editor or CMS.
