How to delete pages from a PDF
- Upload your PDF. The tool tells you how many pages it has.
- Type the pages to delete, for example
2, 5-7. A message below the box shows how many pages will remain. - Click Remove pages.
- Download the edited PDF.
How the PDF page remover works
Rather than blanking pages out, this tool builds a new PDF that contains only the pages you keep, in their original order. That means deleted pages are really gone from the new file, not just hidden, and the file size usually drops. Kept pages are copied exactly, so text, links on the page, images and layout stay as they were.
Your input is validated as you type. You can’t remove every page by mistake, and numbers beyond the end of the document are flagged before anything is created. Processing runs in your browser using pdf-lib, which is helpful when the pages you are removing contain personal information.
Typical reasons to remove pages
- Delete blank pages that a scanner added between sheets.
- Remove a cover page or terms and conditions before sharing.
- Take out pages with personal details, such as bank information, before forwarding a document.
- Trim a long report to just the summary and key sections.
Remove PDF pages FAQ
Can I undo a removal?
Your original file is never changed. If you removed the wrong pages, upload the original again and choose different pages.
How do I keep only a few pages instead?
Use Split PDF with “Put all selected pages into one PDF” and list the pages you want to keep. It’s quicker when you keep fewer pages than you remove.
Is the removed content permanently deleted?
Yes, from the new file. The downloaded PDF only contains the pages you kept.
