How to rotate a PDF
- Upload the PDF with the wrongly oriented pages.
- Choose how far to turn the pages clockwise: 90°, 180° or 270°.
- Leave Pages to rotate empty to rotate every page, or enter specific pages like
2, 5-7. - Click Rotate PDF and download the fixed file.
How PDF rotation works
Every PDF page has a rotation setting that tells viewers how to display it. This tool adds your chosen angle to each selected page’s existing rotation, so a page that was already turned 90° and gets another 90° ends up upside down, exactly as you would expect. Because only that setting changes, the page content isn’t redrawn: text stays sharp and searchable, and images keep their quality. The file size barely changes.
The operation runs in your browser with pdf-lib. Page numbers you enter are checked against the real page count, so mistakes like “page 12” in a 10-page file are caught before anything is saved.
When you need to rotate PDF pages
- A scanner fed a few pages in sideways or upside down.
- A landscape table or chart sits inside a portrait report.
- Phone scans of documents came out rotated.
- You want to print a booklet that needs some pages turned.
